The Villmark is a serious piece of kit. Translating to ‘wilderness’, the Villmark was put through extensive testing by Norwegian special forces as an all-round survival knife. Capable of felling trees, being hammered or struck, skinning large animals, preparing food, supporting a person’s weight while climbing, and even cutting through metal when necessary. A large, chunky handle provides a secure grip with gloves in cold environments, and the pronounced finger guard adds security. The clipped point and swedge give the Villmark unexpected finesse for skinning and detail work. An exposed pommel is built for striking (or being struck), and three lanyard holes allow it to be lashed to a pole. The AEB-L version is entirely weatherproof with a square spine for firelighting; the carbon steel version produces sparks even with natural materials. Built for the harshest margins of the outdoors, the Villmark is the knife to carry when failure isn’t an option.
This Villmark comes with a brown canvas micarta handle and an AEB-L stainless steel blade with a scandi grind. This complete set up has a multicam kydex belt sheath and an Orford Tan leather belt sheath, both with matching firesteels.
