The Leuku is our take on the traditional Finnish ‘big knife’. A natural companion to the Puukko, the Leuku does the heavy lifting, with a 7.75” blade and broad belly for felling small trees, splitting wood and shelter-making. A classic scandi grind fades into a convex grind, combining ease of sharpening with control, durability and chopping power. Smooth lines between blade and handle favour skill and technique, while a slight flare at the pommel keeps a secure grip for heavy work. The sheath is deep fitted to keep out snow or leaf litter in our tough Orford Waxed leather. The machete of the north, the Leuku reflects a tradition of strength, simplicity and skill.
This Leuku has a Hunter Orange G-10 handle for maximum strength and for visibility in the wilds. The weatherproof AEB-L stainless steel is easy to sharpen and holds its edge, and the blade is completed by black liners and black micarta pins.
