Blade 2.75"
Handle 4.125"
The “Nomad” friction folder.
This knife has evolved through the need for a UK legal carry, it is a non locking knife with a blade under 3" in length.
We wanted to design a friction folder influenced by the classic design of our Woodlander knife with a shapely full sized handle and a blade with a classic Scandi grind, so it could be used for woodcraft and bushcraft chores. We wanted the knife design to fold but not compromise on anything else, it had to be lightweight, a simple design but with the cutting ability of a fixed blade bushcraft knife.
This knife has a two tone look as has lovely polished Desert Ironwood on one side and polished Green canvas Micarta on the other making a very cool handle which has some great colour and grain to it with thick Black G10 liners making a really great feeling chunky handle, which feels great in the hand, and has a green canvas back spacer. The blade is made from 3mm Acid stonewashed AEB-L stainless steel, which makes it very easy to maintain. The AEB-L stainless steel is a fantastic tough and hard use steel, it has been used for many years for kitchen knives and razor blades. We have been using this for years and have already had it tested in the jungle with fantastic results. We wanted to offer a great stainless steel option for the Nomad and with the 3mm thick blade and true scandi grind it makes a great hard use knife that is perfect for food preparation, all weathers and any rigours that you can throw at it.
This Nomad comes with a black Kydex neck carry sheath, which can be worn with the knife inverted for easy withdrawal due to the kydexs' locking fit.
You have the option to add a scout fire steel to the kydex sheath so you have means to light a fire with you at all times.
You can also add a Orford Tan leather belt sheath if you want to have both carry options.
It also comes complete with T9 Torx driver for adjustment of the pivot.
